Integra LifeSciences has entered into an acquisition agreement of Codman Neurosurgery.   This transformational acquisition creates compelling value for our shareholders, employees and patients, and enhances our global position in neurosurgery by adding a complementary product portfolio and the world-recognized Codman brand. This expansion position is open as a result of this exciting acquisition.



These roles will be responsible for supporting ongoing M&A integration and divestitures for Integra Lifesciences.  The most pressing need is a significant acquisition that is in progress. Integra’s Neurosurgery division is in the midst of acquiring Codman Neurosurgery from Johnson and Johnson.  While the deal is expected to close in Q4 of 2017, significant work remains to fully integrate the two organizations.  There are ~30 global functional leads and a network of international country leads in place driving the integration effort.  The integration effort is expected to last ~2 years after the close of the transaction.  Activities remaining include:


  • Winding down of Transitional Service Agreements (TSAs) across ~20 countries
  • Winding down of Transitional Manufacturing Agreements (TMAs) in multiple manufacturing facilities
  • Closing several remaining countries that do not close when the transaction closes
  • Completing the integration of multiple functions that will not be fully integrated when the transaction closes


Integra is seeking to hire multiple skilled individuals to help oversee the entire integration.  This role will work closely with the Head of Integration and lead a seamless cultural, operational, and profitable global integration. This role will help oversee the entire integration as part of the global Integration Management Office (IMO).





    • Leading weekly meetings with the global functional leads and regional, country leads to help monitor and facilitate the integration in an appropriate and efficient manner
    • Working with global functional leads, country teams, and the overall integration lead to identify mitigation actions to resolve overall program issues and risks
    • Ensuring that key decisions made by Integra's executive team are quickly disseminated throughout the integration infrastructure
    • Developing approaches to coordinate execution of deliverables across all global functions and countries involved, and providing guidance to global functional leads and country teams to execute
    • Organizing content updates and discussions for the Integra executive team on a recurring basis
    • Prepare weekly reports to the overall integration lead to convey overall program status
    • Tracking overall program risks, issues, and decisions
    • Working with the Finance teams to ensure all synergy objectives are being managed and are currently on track towards predetermined milestones
    • Working with the Business Sponsor and IMO Leader, develop the integration source of value, strategy, priority and goals
    • Participate in the Due Diligence process to learn about the acquisition target and to begin integration plans.
    • Form and lead a cross-functional team to create integration project plans.
    • Utilizing team meetings and one-on-one meetings with functional teams, manage the integration project to keep milestones on track and address or escalate issues and risks
    • Support finance team preparing detailed financial models and integration budget management and reporting
    • Regularly report progress, escalating issues if necessary, to IMO leader



  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field; MBA preferred
  • 5-7 years of project management experience.
  • M&A acquisitions and divestiture experience preferably in the medtech industry.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and adjust plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface with senior management.
  • Ability to influence and engage customers and peers.
  • Up to 25% national travel.
