Responsibilities

This role is responsible for the performance of efficient, safe and quality compliant warehouse operations. This includes providing effective leadership of Warehouse/ Logistics staff.

 

  • Provide leadership in all warehouse/logistics activities, including assisting and mentoring staff, planning and conducting formal performance reviews and appraisals.
  • Provide regular documented reports to measure the performance of the warehouse/logistics operations as required by the Operations Manager
  • Participate in problem solving activities, which will deliver continuous improvement of operational performance
  • Ensure all required warehouse/logistics procedures are in place and compliant with quality and safety standards
  • Ensure collaborative relationships with Integra management, Integra team members and external stakeholders.
  • Perform all required warehouse/logistics responsibilities, such as receipt, distribution (imports and exports), invoicing and storage of Medical Devices. This includes, but is not limited to:
    • Maintain the warehouse in a well organised and safe state to ensure that all products are stored according to guidelines and standards.
    • Prepare daily orders for dispatch following standard packing instructions along with corresponding paperwork as required.
    • Inspect incoming goods according to defined procedures; pack, unpack, load, receive and store stock.
    • Liaise with sales staff and couriers about products and customers.
    • Liaise with customers about estimated time of delivery, availability of products and proof of delivery.
    • Review customer backorders including producing backorder reports in order to keep them at a minimum.
    • Assist with elements of inventory control and participate in stocktaking.
    • Arrange shelving, arrange and label stock; rotate stock according to established procedures.
    • Organise despatch of staff documents and products to customers or external staff.
  • Ensure all documentation is up to date, quality system compliant and in order.
  • Comply with all company quality standards, and procedures, and health & safety requirements
  • Perform other related duties or projects as assigned or required

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a warehouse or stores operation leading a team, preferably including work involved with the purchase, receipt, imports, exports and distribution. Experience in the Medical Industry is an advantage.
  • Strong computer literacy skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Experience with ERP systems (Oracle is an advantage).
  • Thorough understanding of and experience in Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001; ISO13485 Medical Devices is an advantage)
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety requirements, including manual handling
  • Demonstrates effective communication skills and team work ability in problem solving with internal and external customers.
  • Proven ability to take accountability for the quality and timeliness of work outputs.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with management, co-workers, customers and other stakeholders.
  • High level of proactive problem solving skills and proven ability to understand impact of decisions on internal and external customers. Ability to initiate positive, effective changes with a strong understanding of the process, the business and its customers.
  • Proven experience in training, mentoring and leading teams effectively.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, displaying highly accurate quality of work. Ability to focus on tasks which require absolute accuracy such as the recording of lot and serial numbers on inventory and the completing of picking slips, checklists and other documents.
  • Consistently uses good judgement and has the ability to address a variety of problem areas and reach solutions through consensus building.
